Buying: Overview

There are a number of different ways to find what you're looking for, any of which can be a fun and exciting experience.

If you're just interested in window shopping, or you're not really sure of what you're looking for, then the browsing experience is the one for you. Alternatively, if you're looking for a specific item, then searching is the way to go, as it will help you find it much more quickly.

Browsing:

To browse through 'The Loft', you will be clicking on item categories and searching through lists of items within it until you come across something you're interested in.

The easiest way to begin browsing is by visiting 'The Loft's Home page. There, you can select which category you want to browse through and view the list of your results.

2. Buying: Overview

The philosophy of finding and buying items on 'Loot in The Loft' is to hunt down a bargain or that elusive 1st Edition maybe, and to have fun doing it.

There are many reasons why Sellers decide to sell. Maybe it's because they need to turn assets into cash or even just need to clear some room for the new stuff they've bought. Whatever the reason - you, as a Buyer, have they stuff they want --- cash!!

This, as in every market place, means that you have the power to barter, driving that bargain.

Although bartering can be fun, researching an item and getting to know what it is selling for elsewhere on the site, gives you a clue as to what Sellers will be prepared to accept for their item. Don't forget, they will be researching similar items to theirs before they list it.

To begin buying on 'The loft', you will first need to be a registered member. You can register for free and it's easy to do!!

Once you've joined our community, you can Buy or Sell with ease. When you click the Buy link in the navigation bar, you will be taken to the buying pages. Once there, you can click on the items you find to obtain more information about them, ask the seller questions about their item and arrange viewings and pickups. If you are happy with the item, pay the Seller and take it away with you. Remember though, that you must be prepared to pay for the item at the viewing if you want it, as the Seller is under no obligation to reserve it for you.
